A Visit From Mandi

Mandi and baby Canyon made a little visit to see us last week. We had a lot of fun...mostly eating at all the tasty places she unfortunately doesn't have in her village. We also dipped into our creative side and made a tutu and some bracelets for my soon to come baby.

Here is Mandi being my best helper and cutting the tulle for the tutu into strips

Canyon was our model and he did a fabulous job. All smiles!

River thought it would be super fun to ride double on his dinosaur. Canyon wasn't really all about it. River got a little aggressive.

Here is Mandi cutting up an onion. It was really strong and making everyone in the kitchen cry so she wore goggles for protection. Great look for her!

We had tons of fun and were sad to her and Canyon leave. My house seemed so empty and quiet when they were gone. Can't wait until they can visit again and maybe bring the whole family next time!

Christmas 2010

We spent Christmas this year in Idaho. We were there for 8 days. We had so much fun being with family, playing, and relaxing. It was sad to come home to real life and Stewart back to work. I won't lie though, it was nice to have River sleep good again and in his own bed.

The whole family went to McCall for the weekend of New Years and rented a cabin. This is the sunset over the lake taken from the back balcony. It was beautiful there but freezing cold. It was so much fun being with everyone and getting to spend the holidays with my family.

A Month in Lewiston

River and I spent a month in Lewiston visiting our family. It was so much fun. We went up for Garrett's graduation and stayed until Mandi had her baby. We had a good time just spending time with the fam. These are a few pictures from our stay.

River's 1st birthday. He didn't dive into the cake like I thought he would. I was trying to shove frosting in his mouth to show him how tasty it was, but he wasn't loving it.

This was River's first trip to the river. This is him and his Uncle Garrett. River thought it was fun to shove handfuls of sand in his mouth and eat it.

We went to a Mark Chestnut concert when Stewart came into town. Everyone got their cowboy duds on and had a good time.

River's first boat ride. He loved driving the boat with his Grandpa.

Walking

River took his first 2 steps on April 25th and has just been taking more and more everyday. It has been so fun to watch him. Being around other little kids inspires him to walk even more since it's not that fun for him to practice with me walking back and forth to the couch. I'm sure he'll be running around in no time at all!

Walking in Circles

River is loving walking around using the big boxes we have. He was walking around in circles with this one for 10 minutes. It's great finding new things to keep him entertained.
